How to use a Blacks File for pain down the side of a toenail
A Blacks file is a hand held tool with a small rasp at it both ends that is used in the nail sulcus to file the edge of the nail in cases of pain down the side of the nail from a painful callus (onychophosis) or ingrown toe nail (onychocryptosis). They are commonly used by Podiatrists for pain down the side of the nail and can be used at home to control and manage these types of problems. The use of the Black’s files helps to clear debris from the nail sulcus and to file the edge of the nail smooth so it is less likely to dig into the edge of the toe.
